New toys and a quick progress report

Journal Entry: Sun May 18, 2008, 9:44 AM
It is now officially two weeks after my graduation into the real world and I'm still toying around with my new Adobe Creative Suite Design edition, specifically, spending a lot of money on Flash learning books and Actionscript 3.0 .

My goal is to learn it to the point where I can make full flash sites full of interaction and to then market myself out in the hopes of getting hired and making money.

At the moment, I know how to do a lot of things, but I haven't done anything yet.

My photography is still on hold for a bit, I have no space and most of my time is dedicated towards learning a new skill.

but...in that area, I do have some good news of a sort. A long time ago I commisioned a dress of my design from a seamstress from where I work. We didn't see eye to eye on where the dress was going and I essentially wasted a bunch of material for a prototype, but the thing proves the concept.
So my other friend is working with me to get the thing put together and ready for photography.

That's it.

Seeking job opportunities

Graduation has come and gone. Nothing stands in my way now.
I'm currently trying to teach myself actionscript 3.0 for Flash CS3. I would like to eventually be able to build websites out of flash and I hear that is the best route.

We shall see.

Graduations looms

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 31, 2008, 11:07 PM
My last semester is coming to a rapid close this May 2, and I am now entering the 'real world' for the second time, this time armed with a plethera of useful/useless information and a vague idea about what I want to do with my life.

I have certainly grown in the past few years while attending College and I have made my share of friends that will hopefully last a lifetime,

I am now faced with a task of creating a portfolio website and dvd of everything that I have done and accomplished during my college career and put them out to the potential employers I wish to be hired by.

Wish me luck and if you have any suggestions, please send them my way.

Last Semester

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 18, 2007, 2:31 AM
So I'm talking with my Advisor in college and he basically tells me that I can graduate college next semester as long as I haven't grieviously failed any classes this semester.

I'm cool with that except I'm now in the precarious position of being a Media Technology Major with a Minor in Art and I have yet to make an art film.

I'm thinking that the entirety of next semester, I shall be working on not only my classes, but a few major projects that should have had my attention a long time ago, and being the president of the procastination club, but only getting too now.

-Art Video/film

-Resume

-Portfolio

-DVD Presentation for above

-Website

So I'm putting the call out for anybody who is willing to work with me on an art film/video for my final semester in college. I have some ideas, but I can't do it by myself.
